Another incredible year Holy Rosary! Thanks to everyone for all your efforts to make this fundraiser so successful. Good job to everyone! Family Fun Center permission slips are due this week to the office. Prizes have been distributed. If you have any prize questions or concerns contact Carrie Bendzak carriebendzak@comcast.net as soon as possible. Thank you to all the volunteers that make this a fun time and especially those taking on bigger roles this year.

And thank you to Jody Shields for your enthusiasm, leadership, and hard work to make this sale so successful.

New Leadership For Magazine Drive

Posted October 18, 2007

Just a few years ago we were stretching for $100,000 and now that we have reached our $150,000 potential it’s time for new leadership. Please step forward now if you are interested in chairing this event. I have some transition ideas that will make this a lower profile job and also modify the Drive as we’re close to maximum sales capacity.

It’s time for change! I will partner with you next year to ensure everything goes smoothly as I fade away from the scene. A coordinator is needed for the Fun Center event. It requires some at-home work and attending the Fun Center the day of the event. I will be there this year to train. for magazine- related items.

Magazine Drive Celebration Today!

Posted October 11, 2007

Congratulations and thank you to parents, students, staff, and volunteers for another successful and fun Magazine Drive! Results will be announced today at the Celebration Assembly in the School Hall at 2:00 including our top sellers and grades. Prizes will be distributed today before dismissal. If you have any prize questions or concerns .

Dress passes will be distributed in Ziploc bags with the other prizes so make sure you don’t throw them away! Family Fun Center permission slips have been sent home and need to be returned to the office as soon as possible. Attached is a list of all Fun Center goers- if your name is missing . It is very important we have an accurate list! Please volunteer to chaperone this event scheduled Friday, November 9th, from 11:30-2:30pm- no driving…just a noisy bus!

Can I turn in still turn in magazine orders? Yes! We will continue to process those manual orders for another week or so; after that you can continue to sell magazines online throughout the year! Wouldn’t it be great to squeak out another $2,000 more in sales (that’s a hint!).

We’re still counting! We have NOT met our goal yet, but hope those last turn-in orders will put us over that $150,000 mark. Turn your remaining orders into the office tomorrow so we can finalize over the weekend. We still need to hear from 25 families. Don’t miss out on participating in our community event…everyone counts! This week, the 5th graders were the top turn in grade and received the tunnel necklaces.

Magazine Drive: Important Information

Magazine Drive Ends Next Week! Pump It Up!

Posted September 27, 2007

Will we reach our $150,000 benchmark or the super goal of last year’s sales of $159,078? Next Tuesday is our FINAL turn in day! It’s hard to say how close we will be as most of our orders are usually submitted on the final turn in. Each and every order counts so our thanks for your diligence in following up with all your contacts!

8th Graders on retreat; do your best to get your orders in by Tuesday (with a sibling or parent drop off) but we will continue to count orders through the end of the week! The 4th graders were again top turn-in grade this week and received stylish puca shell neckware. They are also in the lead overall followed next by the 3rd and then 6th grade. It’s a very tight race! Riley Sanders (6B) and Bridget Haney (3B) lead the individual turn in with 112 and 110 orders respectively. Also note that our Celebration Assembly has moved to Thursday October 11, (formerly scheduled for October 5).

People magazine clarification: The catalog offers a 40 and a 17 week subscription offer. To get an entire year (52 weeks) you need to write 40 issue- code M3314 and a second order of 17 issues M3312. Write “Consecutive” on the form; which is considered two separate orders. Sorry for this confusion!

Get That Magazine Pumpitude!

Image of a sheaf of magazinesAfter our 2nd Turn In we are over $50,000 in Magazine Sales lining up nicely with last year. Just 2 more Turn In Days left! Thanks for all your work to maintain or exceed your family’s sales levels- a difficult challenge without having those unlisted magazines. The 2nd and 3rd graders tied for first place this week and looked great in their beautiful feather boas as they left school! Thank you to all who sign up for after mass sales (sign up sheets in the hallway each week) and our community sellers. Good Ideas! Each product orders is the same as a magazine order….How about buying overpriced Christmas gifts for a special relative, friend, or teacher? New parents, did you see we offer the Wall Street Journal? People subscribers (a year of People = 2 orders) Contact for questions or to volunteer or visit the website.

Parents, Are You Pumped For Magazines?

The Magazine Crew pumps up the
Open House crowd!

We think so! Our first Turn In Day resulted in just over $20,000 in sales, a solid start on the way to our sales goal of $159,078. We look forward to a huge day next TUESDAY. The 4th and 1st graders were the winners of the Celebration Bead necklaces as they turned in the most orders and the most orders per student average, respectively.

We could use a few more counters on Tuesday mornings as the volume builds. Just meet in the convent after drop off. We provide the coffee and processed donuts! After Mass Sales student sign up sheets are in the main hall posted each Monday.

For students who signed up for the Community Sales Crew, I’ll be contacting parents shortly and coordinating this effort for next week. We could use a few drivers/chaperones for this effort and they are fundraising hours. Extra Catalogs and Turn In Envelopes are available in the office. For Online Sales users, make sure you change your child’s profile to reflect his/her new teacher. Thank you everyone for putting in all the time and effort it takes to make this fundraiser so successful. Questions or Volunteer? Contact .
