Next week is Red Ribbon Week. Our school will be promoting anti-drug messages through posters, bookmarks and art in preparation for a large assembly/gathering on Thursday, Oct. 16. 7th grade students have been asked to create a black & white bookmark that states some original anti-drug motto. Bookmarks are due to Mrs. DeFeo by this Thursday, Oct. 9. There will be prizes for the most creative/original bookmark. Please put your name on the back.

Congratulations to the 7th grade who won 2nd place for selling magazines! We won a pizza party and free recess. We will plan this celebration and let you know when it will be.

Thank you to all families who contributed to our 2nd place win. A big thank you and congratulations goes to Rilee Sanders who won #1 Top-Seller for the entire school!! I believe he had over 200 sales, WOW! Mr. Ritscher, Mrs.Whetham and I are ecstatic to have won a class prize. We are so proud. Thank you for all of your work and support.

Although our school did not meet our goal of $150,000 in sales, we will celebrate our hard work and success with a free dress day on Friday, October 17. Students who qualified for the Family Fun Center will be dismissed from class that day.

7th grade students and parents should have received their conference meeting time in the FCE last week. Please contact us if you are unable to attend your conference at the time scheduled. Although our evenings are pretty booked, we have lots of time available during the morning and afternoon on Wednesday and Thursday.

Students will be preparing prayer, portfolios and goal-sheets in class in the coming weeks. We will also be sending home a questionnaire to parents next week. We look forward to hearing how the year is going for your child.
